This full day conference will be led by national experts in the field of attendance, and will take a comprehensive overview of the issues and solutions. Including: Policy, guidance and data Implement a consistent approach based on the u2018Working together to improve school attendance guidanceu2019; Understand the updated OFSTED inspection framework; How to use data to identify at risk pupils and meet the needs of different pupils; Be able to use research, government guidance and models of proven best practice to devise an effective persistence absence strategy for their schools; Practice and interventions Create a strategic whole school attendance culture; Look at ways to apply a toolkit of practical strategies to improve attendance in a focused and targeted way; Unpick ways of managing the attendance of SEN/ALN pupils in line with the The Equality Act; Effectively evidence the impact of attendance interventions.
